Sunday Afternoon‘s album is an unfortunate split of standard styles and amazing singles. It’s worse that the mini-album only has six songs, which doesn’t allow for a full statement in the music.

The first track could easily convince someone that Sunday Afternoon isn’t worth listening to because of the pop-heavy presentation. It isn’t until the third songs that Sunday Afternoon really start to find direction. I’m not sure what their core style is, but the indie pop of the first two songs lack the same tone of the following songs.

But even with the music improving, it’s still weak to other indie rock bands. Sunday Afternoon are a bit to similar to the stereotypical sound of indie electro-influenced pop rock. They don’t have the strength on the EP and are kind of static.
