For their sixth album, 더더밴드 moved back into indie alternative. The songs are light in tone, but heavy in arrangements.

I do think while the band experimented with sound, there is a core concept in the songs that 더더밴드 kept using. I think Half the Time also features a new vocalist, but it could be the change in the songs. Half the Time does feel like it lacks a little in comparison to the previous releases though.

While the songs themselves are great, the cohesiveness of the album doesn’t seem to be present. In some songs, the tone seems forced and the album was an attempt to try something new that didn’t entirely work.

It’s an interesting album, but not as strong as others.
