I think introducing Galaxy Express is kind of unnecessary at this point. Their garage rock sound is very specific to the band and even with their two official full-lengths; it’s interesting to hear their earlier releases.

Ramble Around contains all the same hard rock, high energy, and excellent song construction that their other releases have. The elements that sticks out of the most is that the recording is both solid and has a slightly raw feel.

It is possible that the album was recorded full band and then vocals were mixed in, but the performances on songs are great. “Jungle the Black” is probably their most popular song and this sounds like one of the earlier recordings of the song. It has the same energy that other releases have, but on this specific version, it sounds like they really had fun recording the song.

Every release by Galaxy Express hasn’t disappointed and they keep it up with Ramble Around.
