For a six song EP, W&Whale show a lot of their talents in making electronica and electro-pop music.

It’s a little different from other artists, and their sound is very specific to the band. The favoring of hard bass beats and hypnotic melodies combined with repetitive vocals, it’s not club music. There is a tone to the music however that they could easily move into that style.

Even when using electronica as the base of their music, they also have a indie and R&B tone to them. Considering I haven’t heard much from the group, it’s hard to make a concrete statement.

I do think placing their single as the last song on the EP was a great decision because there is a good variety that needs to be heard as well.
