Suniswall sound like a mixture of elements of shoegaze with indie rock. You hear elements pop in and out with the songs on the album.
The other side with the indie rock is recognizable in style, but the addition of piano on songs brings a different tone to songs when paired with the vocals Even though they are not perfectly melodic, the emotion of the singing comes through.
It’s amazing how the two styles have merged so well on the album and it is like a bridge between the two genres. The vocals are, at times, haunting and feel like they sit longer than they should, but still keep tempo with the rest of the song.
It’s an impressive album.
