The last release from Pony was 2012’s Little Apartment EP. Three years later the band is returning with a new album I Don’t Want to Open the Window to the Outside World on their new label Tree Machine Records.

Pick up the album from their website.

Pony consists of Edward Choi (vocal/programming/guitar), Seung-bo (bass), and Gwang-ho (guitar/programming)

Pony decided they were tired of the general rock scene and an association to fashion after Little Apartment and took a three year hiatus. For many bands, three years can mean the end to a band, but the new album brings a different sound with a mix of lo-fi, garage rock, and psychedelia.

If you had any experience with Pony and their old albums, you’re going to hear a totally different band. The band isn’t playing a regular style and has more in common with some of South Korea’s electronic musicians.

I Don’t Want to Open the Window to the Outside World has a planned release of July 31st and listen to the single “When Your Love Comes to Grave.”
