SXSW announced its first set of musical acts that will be coming to Austin on March 15-20, 2016. Last year brought a lot of artists like Eastern Sidekick, Asian Chairshot, and EE along with many others. This year seems to continue the trend of a mixture of acts.

Big Phony is a SXSW veteran coming again for the festival.

Bye Bye Badman is a band on Glen Check‘s Basement Resistance label highlighting electronic pop rock.

Haihm will be a great representation of electronic music.

Dok2 and The Quiett of Illionaire Records. One of the biggest hip-hop labels in South Korea, it will be interesting to see what kind of venue these two get.

Jambinai have continuously toured Europe and it’s nice to see them come back to the United States.

Love X Stereo have a sound and style perfect for the US. They’ve toured with Seoulsonic before and will know how to engage the audience.

Mamamoo will likely be a part of K-Pop Night Out to highlight Kpop once again.

Victim Mentality played SXSW 2015 and they definitely made a mark. I can imagine it’ll be even crazier next year.

There should be more band announced in the coming weeks and months so keep an eye out to see who will round out South Korea at SXSW 2016.
