Last week I received an email from Chicken Happen. At first, I was confused because a band named Chicken Happen could mean so many things. It turns out that the Korean woman-fronted three-piece is releasing a new music video for their song “Friends.”

I asked for some information about the band and this is what they shared along with an interview with Chicago Crowd Surfer.

Chicken Happen is a three piece band consisting of Lilly Choi on lead vocals, guitar and keys; Zack Hjelmstead on bass and backup vocals, Mark Gianforte on drums and backup vocals. We’re a Chicago based rock band that has been together since 2011.

They also have this other bio that was written for the band giving a little more dimension.

“CHICKEN HAPPEN’s music is infused with high-octane garage rock riffs that will get your feet moving! Their witty and amusing lyrics, coupled with emotionally intense and relatable songwriting, form a unique and enthralling musical experience. Lilly Choi’s fervent vocal performance adds an extra layer of passion to the mix, delivering a knockout emotional blow. Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of emotions, as you’ll likely find yourself laughing, crying, and dancing along to CHICKEN HAPPEN’s irresistible sound.”

Here are some other videos that I found online.
